Make-up used on the eye

You haven`t got any idea of what color is best to underline the beauty of your eyes? Try these things and surely you will have only good results!

If the color of your eyes is blue try pink or a brick color. The light shadows contrast with the sensation of “cold” given by the eyes, and so it will be accentuated! Apply the paint from your eyebrows towards the centre of the eyelid and after you do this it is necessary to use black mascara!

Do you have dark brown eyes? Then try gold or green, both colors will make your look resemble sensuality. Pick paint with a shining texture and apply it from the eyebrows towards the arcade!

Are your eyes green? Maybe you should try lila, that make your eyes more intense, being in contrast with the color of your eyes, or a dark brick color that seem to be in harmony with the green tones! Try using lila in the evening, and the other nuance in the day time. Apply brown mascara!

If your eyes are light brown try using dark green or mat yellow, accordingly to your state pick a color to create shadows and confer expressivity to your sight. To underline the beauty of your eyes apply firstly a dark nuance and then wet the brush and trace a line at the bottom of your eyelids.

Everybody can use dark colors like dark green, brown or black, but as a piece of advice: use them at the base of your eyelids in order to make your sight seem lightened. Don`t apply them on the whole eyelid, it creates an unpleasant image!

Most of the women trace a simple black line, with the eyeliner, but you should consider applying firstly some white on your eyelids, it will offer a retro image, resembling the grand era of Marilyn Monroe which is believed to be a trend setter!

Another thing that must be taken into account is that you should avoid creamy nuances applied on your eyelids if you have small eyes; this product makes them look “dirty”!

If you use make-up in the morning and you are a busy woman that is occupied all day you can try to take your make-up in your purse and freshen it up a little bit, because it isn`t resistant all day long, it tends to become greasy and it may also be removed…

If you have prominent arcades it is necessary to avoid shadows because they darken your sight, so use only a nuance and make sure it is a shiny one, surely you will look marvelous!

If you want to look glamorous in a night out with your girlfriends in the club maybe you don`t necessarily need strident colors or glitter applied on your eyes! If you take seriously the advices given below you won`t look exaggerate or gloomy! Your make-up will surely be a real success!

What did you think?  I haven't been to the salon in ages, and I haven't had a recent in-salon Keratin treatment.  I received samples of the Keratin Complex products to try out, and have been using this duo of haircare products regularly for the past couple of weeks.  Both products have light scents, but do leave my hair clean smelling.  The shampoo actually lathers (thankfully! It seems like pricier shampoos are oddly devoid of lather sometimes).  The conditioner doesn't feel too thick, but it does coat my hair.  After using this product for a bit, I think it makes my hair look shinier.  On the down side, I have noticed that my hair seems a tiny bit greasier, especially if I use Keratin's Shine, a product that goes on damp hair to help increase shine. With my hair type, this probably isn't the best product for me to use on a regular basis.

The final verdict?  For me, these products are a pass.  They're too expensive and leave my hair too limp feeling.  If I'm going to buy a salon brand, I'd just go for my all-time fave: Matrix.  But if you have regular Keratin treatments, this just might be the shampoo/conditioner combo for you.  Other people swear by this duo, and even though it's not the right product for my hair type, it wasn't a terrible product demo!

Tone Up With Arcona Triad Pads

ARCONA Triad Pads are soaked with hydrating, toning, cleansing, and excellent-smelling Cranberry Toner. Just pull one out of the jar to remove excess makeup, tone and hydrate after cleansing, or refresh your face after a workout or a good night's sleep.

And why use a toner, you ask? Well, these Triad Pads are packed with a host of skin-loving ingredients: antimicrobial cranberry (containing vitamins, phyto-nutrients and essential fatty acids), Vitamin E tocopherols and tocotrienols, Omegas 3, 6 and 9, and rice milk. Plus, well, they just feel really, really good.

Now, I'm finding this to be the case with every Arcona product I try...I'm in love with the scent. These toner pads smell like candy! More specifically, they have the sweet-tart smell of old fashioned pastilles in a little Victorian tin. Sweet, refreshing, and luxurious.

(One note, though: if you test them out and hate the smell, stop right there. Don't buy them. Because you'll notice the scent on your face for a while after applying. It sticks around a while.)

At $30 for 45 pads, they're not exactly cheap, but you can get a ton of extra mileage out of them by cutting them in half. Seriously, they're so soaked with toner that there was still plenty left over when I finished my face and neck. I would have been fine with just half a pad!

Self-Tanner Review Series: VictoriaSecret Beach Sexy Gradual Tan Moisturizer SPF15

I LOVE a tanner with some SPF. You can slather it on in the morning and go about your day knowing that not only are you protected from the sun, but you'll be tan by dinnertime!

Victoria's Secret Beach Sexy Daily Glow Gradual Tan Moisturizer SPF15 is the reincarnation of VS's last gradual tanner, Bare Bronze Daily Glow. That one was a favorite of mine for both scent and effectiveness, so I was curious to try the new version and see if anything had changed.

Well, we know there's now SPF 15 in it -- that's a plus. And the scent is the same (praise the beauty gods!). I love the smell of this tanner; it's beachy, tropical and coconutty, and it masks most of the DHA smell without interfering with it and creating some hellish, putrid hybrid.

The one thing that disappoints me is that the potency has changed. It's now absolutely identical to Bath & Body Works Glow & Steady in both texture and potency. This is not necessarily a bad thing on its own; Glow & Steady is one of my favorite gradual self tanners. The problem is that the original Bare Bronze came in two concentrations, and the Medium/Deep was nearly as powerful as a full strength tanner. This new Beach Sexy gets you tan, but not as quickly as the old one (it comes in only one concentration).

Overall, though, a great pick! If you like Glow & Steady but not the scent, try this one instead. Or if you're just looking for a great gradual self tanner that smells fabulous and protects you from the sun's rays, go for it!

MAKEUP TRENDS AUTUMN/WINTER 09/10

Come September I always feel a sort of melancholic happiness.   Summer is over, but autumn always feels like a new beginning, a time full of promises and exciting new adventures. The arrival of the first chill also means two very exciting things are upon us: London Fashion Week and new makeup looks. So what is the key look for A/W 2009/2010 maquillage? This year the London Academy Of Freelance Makeup (AOFM), is the official backstage makeup artist sponsor of Vauxhall Talent Scout, so who better to guide me through the magical world of this winter's makeup wonderland than Rachel Wood, member of the pro-team at AOFM? With TV series True Blood and the Twilight Saga books and films being hugely popular, it's no wonder that the glamorous goth look is big this season. Here are some of my favourite buys and Rachel's tips for a flawless vamp look. BASE Creating a flawless complexion is key here. Make sure your skin is well moisturised (apply your face cream 10/15 minutes before applying makeup) then use a medium coverage foundation all over the face, not forgetting the neck. Giorgio Armani's Lasting Silk UV Foundation (£30) is makeup artists' current favourite and comes in a variety of fabulous shades. Finish off by dusting your face with a good translucent powder. Try proto-col Mineral Cosmetics Mineral Finishing Powder (£19.55) for a glowing, seamless look. If you have black or dark olive skin Rachel advises sticking to your natural shade "I would avoid trying to go pale as this can make you look chalky instead I would concentrate on keeping the foundation coverage looking buffed and polished - apply it with a buffing brush and buff it into the skin in circular motions to create fab coverage that doesn't look too heavy" LIPS "Vamp Lips are all the rage" continues Rachel "from blood reds to deep burgundy, for strong lips with sex appeal try adding a touch of lip balm and then pencilling them in with a burgundy lip liner (Benefit Lip Sketching Pencil in Sangria, £12, is this season "it" colour)". If burgundy is not your colour, deep reds and berries are another option. Barry M has an outstanding range of lipstick shades to suit everybody. I'm particularly enamoured with their Lip Paint in Cerise Pink and Royal Raspberry (£4.25 each) EYES The smoky eye is still big but feel adventurous and try a different base to the usual grey and black eyeshadows. A gold/brown combination is very flattering and suits all eye colours. Kohl plays a very important part here and I'm particularly impressed with Kitten Vixen Eye Put A Spell On You in Burgundy Eye Kits (£20). These cute boxes contain an eye pencil on one end with matching mascara on the other, plus a pencil sharpener. Barry M Retractable Eyeliner Pencils are also a fantastic buy on a budget at £3.95 each. CHEEKS  Although the overall look here is inspired by vampires, ignoring the cheeks will only make you look ghostly and pasty, so it's important to choose the right blusher. Go for powder blush as matt is very in this season. Barry M has just launched its new range of blushers (£4.50). If you are pale Barry M blusher in Rose 2 is an ideal shade, whilst Strawberry 3 will give you that sexy flushed look. Apricot 5 and Terracotta 6 are ideal for darker complexions. Apply with a brush and sweep the blusher from your cheekbones towards your ears. Blend to perfection for a flawless look. Remember we are looking for shades and sculpting here, not for milk maid's cheeks. NAILS Whilst red nails are always in season, be adventurous and try different colours. Plums and purples are huge right now, but cold colours will be seen everywhere too: try Barry M Nail Paint in Navy, Cobalt Blue, Racing Green and Emerald Green (£2.95). Keep nails short and matt for the ultimate autumn/winter look.

A Canvas for Eyeshadow.

 

Getting ready to go out for the night is one of my favorite parts about going out.  I love to pick out a cute outfit and shoes, but most importantly I love to do my make up.  I love when makeup is applied in an artistic and wild fashion.  Eyeshadow can be done so many different ways and with so many different colors.  Eye makeup can be an art form in itself.  Sure, it is not always practical to have your eyes painted up to look like feathered cat eyes or blossoming flowers, but for those few times when it is acceptable, it sure is fabulous!  There is so much that can be done.  I used to love the photo shoots they would have on America’s 

Next Top Model for the eye makeup alone. 

 

If you need help with  eyeshadow application, it never hurts to check out  tips from the internet or magazines.  You can get the basics down and then embellish from there. 

Personally, I wish more people got a little more creative with their eye makeup.  What better canvas for artistic expression than one’s self.

Tips Skin Health Facial Care

Tip 1: Drink Water

Water has long been considered as the most efficient natural treatment or an almost free treatment for any skin condition because of its being alkaline, with pH 7.3. It prevents dehydration which is capable of producing sebum or oil from the sebaceous glands. Your skin needs water in order for it to function best, thus doctors and nutritionists suggest that a daily intake of between 6 to 8 glasses of water per day is highly needed.

Tip 2: Watch Your Diet

Nutrition plays a vital role in skin health too. Specific foods such as those acidic foods and dairy products are said to be effective in causing an allergic reaction in some people. Also, one of the widely debated topics in the area of nutrition today is chocolates. Some say that chocolate does affect the condition of the skin, while others say it doesn't. Whatever the result may be, the best advice is just to follow a nutritious diet that has a number of fresh fruits and green-leafy veggies, as well as fiber.

Tip 3: Consider Exfoliants

Many experts say that exfoliating your skin is another great way to attain a beautiful skin. So, try to invest in a good body exfoliant or "loofah", as it is commonly called, as it is capable of eliminating the dead skin cells from your body. Accordingly, this should be done once or twice a week so to free the skin to breathe. What's more, exfoliants help to put off ingrown hair from developing.

However, it is essential to avoid using any body exfoliant on the skin on the face. The main reason for this precaution is that the facial tissue is more sensitive and finer than those tissues of the body.

Tip 4: Consider a Healthy Routine for Facial Care

When it comes to facial skin care, getting into a healthy beauty routine is not bad. Most of the doctors today greatly suggest that you cleanse, moisturize and tone your skin twice every day. When cleaning, never fail to remember cleaning the area on the neck, including your face. Apply a moisturizer or neck cream after.

Before going to bed at night, always bear in mind to remove all make up. Clean your skin before you sleep, no matter how tired you may feel. It was found out that during the night, the skin goes through a process of elimination and cannot breathe properly if it is clogged with make up. And, you may also find out that sleeping with your make up on will cause your skin to "break out" with spots on it.




When it comes to shaving for men, some men may experience shaving rashes. For many, these rashes lower their self-esteem, but this is actually not a big problem to think about. There are a lot ways to avoid rashes. Perhaps one of the best is to make sure that when shaving, the razor strokes are following the direction of hair growth. That's simply it!


Tip 5: Heal Your Feet

When it comes to skin care, the feet are often neglected. So, if care you found no time for a professional pedicure, try to fill a football or basin with warm water and add your favorite essential oil. Soak your feet for about fifteen minutes. Then, dry them and apply a rough skin remover onto them. Rinse this off and dry you feet well. And, if you consider pedicure, simply add some body cream to your feet for an easy and quick fix pedicure.


Tip 6: Avoid Too Much Exposure to the Sun

One of the most common precautions when it comes to skin care is avoiding too much exposure to the sun. As you may know, over exposure to sunlight causes sunburn. So, while current sun blocks only block out the UVB rays and still let in harmful UVA rays, it is still wise to cover up before venturing into the hands of Apollo. If possible, use a wide brimmed hat while tending your garden to keep the sun from your face.

Tip 7: Exercise

Aside from considering a healthy diet, exercising your body also helps keep your skin healthy. Note that a proper exercise does not only keep the body fit by regulating the oxygen; it also improves the glow of the skin as well.

Tip 8: Take Enough Rest

One common problem that face people is stress; the one which is not normal. It was found out that when a person is stressed, the adrenal cortex converts adrenal androgens to the hormone testosterone in male and female, which in turn results in overactive sebaceous glands. These adrenal androgens are released causing a double amount of testosterone, causing the face to be oily, while other areas of the body are still dry from dehydration. So, taking proper rest that includes 6 to 8 hours of undisturbed sleep daily is the best way to rejuvenate the skin.

Apply Eye Makeup to Green Eyes

Eye makeup for green eyes encompasses a wide range of color options. The key is to choose Eye makeup colors that don't compete with your eye's natural shade of green.

Any eyeshadow shades that are mostly yellow will also drown out green eyes. The yellow swallows the startling green and makes the white of your eyes look dull. Jade, amber and even neon orange may work for you, but canary, lemon or mustard are out of the question.

It's important to never let your eyeshadow compete with your eyes for attention. Let your eye color remain sparkling by using any eyeshadow color except one that matches your eyes. Go with a creamier green, a darker green or a smokier green, but never match your eye color and eye shadow exactly.

Pure and bold blue eyeshadows tend to look unflattering with green eyes, especially if it's used as a base color. But blue-green colors, such as turquoise, can appear attractive, especially if your color is more hazel. The blue-green hue will help bring out more green than brown in your eyes. Light blues work well for base, accent or tiny highlight.

Grey and silver tones pair well with green eyes, but be careful of creating a look that's too icy or harsh. Smoky hues will help the green really pop out and look great mixed with almost any other color.

Most browns appear very flattering with green eyes, but only if those eyes are true green. If your eyes tend to look hazel or brown sometimes, then brown eyeshadow will make them appear more brown than green.

To keep those green flecks sparkling, use creamy and/or blended brown colors, such as fawn, tan or mocha. Bring out any gold flecks in your eyes by using accents and highlights in gold, copper or bronze hues.

Properly applied purple eyeshadow is fantastic for a funky but flattering look with green eyes. Never use purple as a base shade, or you'll end up looking like you have two black eyes. Instead use almost any shade of purple, such as lavender or periwinkle, as an accent or blended color.

TATA which owns Mumbai Taj Hotel has taken a full page ad announcing that it will be back.

12 dead in mine blast nice

MOSCOW: At least 12 people were died in a mine blast in Russia. Five persons are said to be injured in the incident.
The explosion took place in Murmansk, which lies near the Barents Sea and Russia’s northern border with Finland.
All the dead miners were between the ages of 20 and 37, being said in a report.
Rescue workers had only recovered four bodies by midday Friday, more than 12 hours after the explosion and resulting fire.
The report said that, the Apatit Mine company develops apatite-nepheline ores used in the production of fertilizers.

Taj Mahal hotel to reopen on Dec 21

Mumbai, Dec 13: United we stand against terror, this is the message set out by India's historic Taj Mahal hotel staffs on Saturday, Dec 13 to the world. Mumbai's Taj Mahal hotel which came under terrorist attacks in November killing 200 people will open its doors again to guests on Sunday, Dec 21 at 7 pm according to a statement from the Indian Hotels Company.

On Nov 26, ten terrorists attacked Mumbai and fired indiscriminately at the guests in the century-old Taj Mahal Palace and Tower. The hotel's heritage wing (Palace), which bore the brunt of the damage, however, would take some more time to reopen. Initially most of the guests will be accommodated in the modern building Taj towers, as it had suffered less damage.

Raymond Bickson, Indian Hotels MD & CEO said, "to reopen the Taj with such speed, but with no loss of attention to details, shows our resolve to commemorate all the innocent and brave people who lost their lives during the terror strikes."


He also said, "We dedicate our reopening to the city of Mumbai as an affirmation of the values of courage, resilience and dignity. To reopen The Taj with such speed with no loss of attention to details shows our resolve to commemorate all the innocennt and brave people who lost their lives during the terror attacks. In their honour The Taj will shine again in all its brilliance. Every one who works at The Taj stands in awe of the bravery and sacrifice shown by their colleagues. They have set a standard of selfless service that all of us can only aspire to."

Taj Group Chairman Ratan Tata had pledged to rebuild every inch of the hotel to its original glory. It is estimated to cost crores of rupees as the hotel housed several antiques.

Arpita Singh is an Indian artist. She was born in West Bengal, India in 1937.Currently she lives in New Delhi. Singh attended the School of Art, Delhi Polytechnic in New Delhi from 1954 to 1959. After she graduated she worked for the Indian Government's Cottage Industries Restoration Program. While she worked in the program she met traditional artists and weavers in India. This is said to have impacted her artwork. In the 1970s her paintings were mainly black and white abstracts.But in the 1980s she started to paint Bengali folk paintings. In these paintings often have women as the subjects. Many of her paintings of women show them doing daily work and simple routines in their lives.Originally when she started painting she was doing watercolors on paper which connected her painting to Indian tradition. But in the 1990s Singh started paint oil on canvas which was considered a dramatic shift. In some of her paintings of women the woman is portrayed nude. This is said to show the woman's vulnerability rather than showing her in a sexual sense. Singh's paintings are said to portray a woman's point of view about life in India.Arpita Singh has had a number of exhibits all over the world both individual and group exhibits. Singh has also won a number of awards for her work.
